Pre-toddler
This room was created to help infant’s transition into the active
world of the toddler. Early language development, group participation
and socialization skills are developed and encouraged. Children start
to explore the creative and playtime activities that await them in the
toddler rooms.
Our
goal is to help pre-toddlers:

Develop hand/eye coordination
• Continue to develop motor skills
• Develop identity and sense of self, familiarity with family and
friends
• Work on self-help skills (feeding, steps, etc.)
• Develop vocabulary
• Body part awareness
Activities
include:
•
Ball play, riding/pushing toys
• Dump & fill toys, building with blocks, stacking and nesting
toys
• Music, singing and dancing
• “Reading” books, finger plays, puppet play
• Beginning art activities
• Outdoor experiences
